Guardians of the Galaxy Style Guide

Early in 2014 Marvel anticipated that the Guardians of the Galaxy film was going to be a huge hit. Before the movie was even released, an evergreen licensing program supported by an animated series was green-lit. I spearheaded the launch and managing the style guide. The project entailed working with other designers and freelancers to oversee the development of branding, packaging designs, character artwork, design elements, and product applications.
Within these guides, we often include seasonal packs for Halloween, Holiday (Christmas), Valentine’s Day and Spring (Easter).

For the Guardians of the Galaxy Evergreen style guide we developed four seasonal packs: Halloween, Holiday, Valentine’s Day & Spring. The branding relies heavily on the character icon sets which were derived from the icons developed core guide.  The amazing character artwork was all done for the core style guide by Patrick Brown.
